Jack is my beagle - we met in November - about a week before thankgiving 1999. We met when I hit him with my car doing 55 mph. 10 years later almost to the day I will say goodbye to him. He is so much a part of my life and my history, it's hard to think what it will feel like without him.
He has been in heart failure since March and the meds are not helping him enough any more.
But I have had 8 more months with him and he has felt good until last week.

I don't know how to say goodbye to him- I just hope he knows how much he has meant to me, and that I don't believe this is our last goodbye.
