Good bye Kia - thanks for keeping us safe,
Downsizing has become cool, I decided to not only downsize my car, but my cost, so I became a Kia Rondo, not realizing the depth of my unhappiness until my car wrecked itself without my help. It was repaired, but not only did it not check out in my mind for reliability, I was very tired of having no where to put my purse, except on top of all the excess things not able to be stored in the cargo part of the car because of the 4 tightly crammed crates.
The depth of my relief to returning to the world of dog van-dom is surprising. I am so happy to have room to spare, happy that the door handle did not crack when I opened it, happy to have both my x-large crates for the bcs in the back, oooh and also an ipod plug, and pluggy thing for my iphone.
I am happy to be a Toyota Sienna in this reincarnation.
Is it the best usage of my less than disposable income - not so much, but does it make me happy, yes! And thanks to my unusually good timing, Toyotathon end of the year stock reduction netted me a better deal than I had hoped altho with the last dregs of dealer stock, came the only color left.....white.
Here is my first glimpse of Fiona
Isn't she lovely?
Exciting! Love our Sienna, but bet you wish you got the super cool energy green or whatever. lol. Congrats! Can't wait to, uh, meet her. ;)
ReplyDeleteExactly what I would have chosen, including the color -- enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI do love the cool green color but white is growing on me, she looks so cheery sitting in the garage.
ReplyDeleteI wondered how you'd do being downsized... guess I know! Congrats on the new addition!
ReplyDeleteThe actual vehicle was fun - it was a lot easier driving and parking the rondo.I was able to get 4 crates in it, it's pretty rare that I travel with more than 4 dogs, gas mileage was better, it was just the excess stuff - coolers, purse, video camera, excess clothes, suitcase. No room for any of that except the passenger seat. I felt like Jed Clampett...
