What an interesting journey for both Clark and I. It is amazing what I know about his previous life by observing him. It's almost tmi - like wearing someone else's underwear.
I am now terrified that I will die before my dogs, and they will reveal the truth about my existence.
things I know about Clark prior life...
-- he loves people and has no fear of hands
-- he has never been in a crate
-- never worn a collar
-- never walked on a leash
-- he has no idea that people can give him food, or how to take food from a hand (how weird is that?)
-- never been asked for a single behavior
-- he was an 'inside' dog
-- has been allowed access to sofas
-- he lived in a house with stairs
-- he lived in a loud house (no startle reflex)
-- he was very much loved and loved back
-- does not realize that he is not going home yet
It's a journey, and I wonder what it would be like to be sold for $60 and lose everyone you love.
I hope that we can make him as happy and secure as they did, without the stupid ending. Like all dogs, he deserves the best.
If there were a like button I'd "like" this post! Looking forward to meeting Mr. Clark Kent tomorrow!
