Harley was very sick today - don't know what or why. He was clearly distressed, pacing and drooling. Dr Brisbois interrupted her real life to meet me at her clinic at 8:00 pm on Saturday nite - we took x-rays, did bloodwork,hemocrit and a pancreatitis snap test, gave barium, anti nausea meds. fluids subq and IV and a little torb. Everything came back within normal range - in house cbc - so torsion, spleenic torsion, constipation, uti, cancer of most internal organs. obstruction, iow all the really scary stuff was eliminated.
Harley is resting somewhat comfortably now - which is better than he has done all day.
If I had gone to an eclinc - I would not have all the information that I do now and would have waited many more hours to know less.
People make a difference and Dr B more than most.
