We haven't had much fun here lately but when you're desperate, you can find humor in almost anything. In clicker training, to change a cue, it's new cue, followed by old cue.
My dog Harley is afraid of new food, he will only eat food that he has always eaten, clearly a problem when you get a dog and have no clue what he has already had. He is so used to being force fed now that even Judy can open his mouth and stuff food in like a huge baby bird.
After 13 years, I have found a way to introduce new food to him, just like clicker training.... I put a piece of chicken (new food) on a sardine (old food). Harley ate the chicken with gusto to get to the sardine. I have been trying to get him to eat a piece of chicken for 13 years.............. who knew?
Yay for Harley! (and I'm glad I don't have to look at your work feet any more, LOL)
