How we acquire our friends

It's funny who become your friends - if you had to pick them out of a crowd before you knew them, it wouldn't be likely that you would be correct. We are an odd bunch, ranging in age from early 20's to mid 60's, no commonality beyond dogs and even that is a divergent path.

Which of course, leads me to Poppy and the reason for this post. This picture shows 5 puppies all within 4 weeks of each other in age, all being trained for agility, and all living in the same relative area. We have spent a lot of time socializing these pups with each other. They recognize each other and everyone gets along well. It's very likely that they will compete together when they are older - so they will be friends for life too. We have 2 aussies from the same litter 7 (far left), Groovy next, border collie Kate, Corgi Poppy, and border collie Cap. Kate and Poppy formed a friendship from the very first day they met, and even tho the size difference gets larger daily, they still play well with each other.

It's not often that most of your friends get a puppy at the same time, but sometimes it happens..

  1. Apparently you guys didn't get the memo on the uniform for that day's puppy class! Didn't even realize Sarah and I matched till now!

Glad to be your friend Bev! How many years is it now and all due to DOGS!
