Another week has passed and what has been gained?
Jack is still alive and eating turkey necks with gusto as I type. It's like a war, every day still alive is a day won, and this roller coaster ride has caused me to look back at the 10 years we have spent together and remember his story. When you live with someone (whether a dog or person) sometimes you forget how they became what they are. We had such a hard time with each other for a long while, but somewhere along the way our lives blended together in such a way that it's hard to remember when it wasn't easy and comfortable.
I showed a satellite picture of my yard to a co-worker today - from outer space, you can see the awesome holes that Jackie B has dug in my yard to school first RockIt, then Hemi, Focus, VooDoo and Poppy in the art of proper landscaping. Who knew he would be the puppy raiser?
This weekend is a trial in Palmetto - just Ben and I. We are gearing up for Long Beach next week. It will be his 3rd time at the Invitational, and will be awarded a sheet of paper from AKC for his placement as the #1 Pembroke Welsh Corgi of 2008 - yay Ben!
What am I looking forward to the most? Spending some time with just Ben.
