My new old dog!

This is Harley. He came to me when he was 4 months old on Easter of 1999. He was so terrified of people that he would pull out of his collar if someone was walking towards us several blocks away. He did not think much better of me either.

His ears tell me he has pit bull in him, his markings scream gsd, and his tail and eyes are beagle. Talk about bang for your buck, he has it all.

And look at his nose, does it not look much bigger than it should? When he was a puppy, it was like the doppler effect.

I don't know when he became old, I hear him creak when he gets up in the morning. Sometimes he stands in the middle of the yard barking at nothing for hours at a time if I let him. He has lumps in his skin and white on his head.

But he has chosen to spend his life with me, and for this, I am blessed.
