His numbers are as follows
Total T4 - 9 (range 15-67)
Free T4 - 8 (range 8 - 26)
Total T3 -.5 (range 1.0 - 2.5)
Free T3 - 1.7 (range 4.5 - 12.0)
T4 Antibody -10 (range 0 -20)
T3 Antibody - 2 (range 0 - 10)
Tsh - 8 (range 0 - 37)
Thyroglobulin Autoantibody - 6 (interpreted as negative)
So it appears that his thyroid is not functioning very well. Strangely enough, in googling for low thyroid, one of the side effects in humans is hoarseness - which was the first symptom that I noticed with Ben.
So will he be on thyroid meds? Very interesting about the hoarseness!
