The Tale of the Prodical Son or Wesley Chapel's Most Wanted Dog

Clark is wanted in my neighborhood - this picture is gracing at least 20 telephone poles.

Clark went missing yesterday afternoon.  I let 5 dogs out in the front yard - 45 minutes later I had 4 dogs and a small turtle - not a good trade in my opinion. The turtle peed on me as I rescued it, then I noticed that Clark wasn't present in the hunting party.  That's when the saga began...

Called Angelica, who came over - searched my house and yard, made posters, had findtoto.com send automated messages to 125 of my neighbors (don't think I have 125 neighbors, but whatever). Went door to door, called poor Judy, who immediately began driving thru the hood.  Hung posters, drove slowly in circles for 3 hours.  Called vets, posted to facebook.  Jan -  the beagle lady, gave me the phone number of an animal communicator who works with lost animals, called her and she stayed on the phone with me while Kelli and I tromped thru woods calling for Clark. It was sort of a dark version of  the verizon commercial, I would yell and then ask the communicator if Clark could hear me. Sarah came over and trolled also.  MaryAnne called and offered to come over - planned to come over in the morning to start fresh if needed.

Facebook is an amazing and humbling tool to get information out there - there were people I didn't even know trying to help get Clark back home.

At about 9:30, Kelli and I decided to call it off for the night - if Clark was scared and wouldn't come out, it would be virtually impossible to see him in the undergrowth even if we were right on top of him.

Drove home - dreading a night of wondering if Clark was going to be alive in the morning - lot's of creatures hang out close the the green swamp.

As I turned onto my driveway there was a dog - I almost ran him over.  It was Clark  I couldn't even comprehend it at first, I was wondering what Poppy was doing out.  Then I realized who it was - that was one of those moments that will stay in my mind forever.

One of the worst days  with one of the best endings ever!
