Splash dogs rule!!!

Fun times today at the Splash Dog competition.  It was our first ever dock diving competition. Focus and Emma are the 2 dogs I have that jump from the dock (as opposed to jumping from the ladder).   Emma has lived with us for 2 weeks.  Both Focus and Emma made it to the finals - Emma was in the top 4 and had a runoff, Focus ended up in 6th place.  We have ribbons.... yay!

It certainly became very clear why Emma had 4 homes (not including wherever she came from, and the 5 days she spent in animal control)  But, still, it's hard to dislike enthusiasm.  She loves everything to a degree that is almost overwhelming.  She loves dock diving, she loves frisbee, she loves food, she loves me, I've never seen a dog that was obsessed with everything, she even loves her crate. She is a very different dog. Impulse control is something that she has not learned yet.

Focus is the sanity check in everything.  He is sooo laid back, of course only until we get to the dock, then it's just like agility, he is screaming and pulling and poof, he is a  border collie again.

I am in awe of my dogs, they do stuff I only dream of.
